I. Product Overview
The fluorine-lined ball valve is an on-off ball valve designed specifically for highly corrosive operating conditions. The valve body substrate is made of WCB cast steel, cast iron, or stainless steel, while the internal cavity, valve seat, and ball surface are lined with PTFE, F46, or PFA fluoroplastics. The medium comes into contact only with the fluoroplastic lining—never the metal substrate—relying on the material’s excellent chemical inertness to resist corrosion from strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidizing agents.
It features a full-bore ball core ensuring unobstructed flow and low flow resistance. It offers rapid 90° opening and closing and can be operated manually, pneumatically, or electrically. It is used for flow shut-off and control in pipelines handling highly corrosive media; certain models also support proportional regulation.
Applicable temperature range: -29°C to 250°C (depending on lining material selection).
II. Lining Materials

1. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
   Offers superior chemical corrosion resistance and a low coefficient of friction; applicable temperature: -29°C to 200°C. Resistant to strong acids and alkalis; non-stick properties; moderate creep resistance (exercise caution in high-pressure applications).
2. F46 (FEP, Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene)
   Good flowability ensures more uniform lining formation; corrosion resistance is comparable to PTFE; applicable temperature: -29°C to 200°C. Good toughness and crack resistance; suitable for negative pressure (vacuum) conditions.
3. PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy)
   A high-end fluorine lining material offering the highest temperature resistance and superior creep and permeation resistance compared to PTFE/F46; applicable temperature: -29°C to 250°C. Resistant to high-temperature, highly corrosive media; suitable for demanding applications in high-purity and fine chemical industries.
   For media temperatures exceeding 200°C, PFA lining is the preferred choice. III. Structural Features
4. Full Corrosion-Resistant Lining: The valve body, bonnet, ball, and seats are fully lined with fluoroplastic; the medium does not come into contact with metal, eliminating the risk of corrosion-induced perforation of the valve body.
5. Straight-Through Flow Path: Available in full-bore or reduced-bore configurations; offers low flow resistance, smooth medium transport, and resistance to sediment or crystallization buildup.
6. Low-Friction Sealing: Utilizes self-lubricating fluoroplastic, resulting in low operating torque, excellent sealing performance, and high-level zero-leakage capability.
7. Modular Actuation: Compatible with manual handles, pneumatic actuators, and electric actuators; supports the addition of limit switches, solenoid valves, and positioners to enable remote DCS control.
8. Anti-Detachment Lining Structure: The lining is mechanically interlocked with the valve body, preventing delamination under negative pressure conditions. IV. Technical Parameters

  V. Applicable Operating Conditions
  ✅ Recommended Use Cases

1. Chemical & Fine Chemical Industries: Pipelines for hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, caustic soda, and various mixed acid/alkali media;
2. Chlor-alkali, Agrochemical & Pharmaceutical Industries: Transport of corrosive raw materials and intermediates;
3. Environmental Water Treatment: Pickling wastewater, chlorine-containing sewage, desulfurization waste liquor;
4. High-Purity Chemical Processing: PFA liners are suitable for high-purity corrosive fluids with no leaching contamination;
5. Negative Pressure Conditions: F46/PFA liners offer high resistance to delamination, making them suitable for vacuum/negative pressure pipelines.
   ❌ Inapplicable Conditions
6. Molten alkali metals, liquid fluorine;
7. Media containing hard, coarse particles or sharp solids (can scratch the fluoropolymer liner, causing damage and leakage);
8. Temperatures exceeding the material’s maximum limit;
9. Conditions involving strong impacts or high-velocity erosion by large particles. VI. Applicable Standards

   VII. Installation and Operating Instructions
10. Before installation, remove welding slag and hard particles from the pipeline to prevent scratching the lining.
11. The valve may be installed horizontally or vertically; ensure the flow direction matches the markings on the valve body.
12. Do not use excessive force to pry the ball, as this may cause the lining to crack.
13. For high-temperature applications, increase the temperature gradually to prevent lining delamination caused by rapid thermal expansion or contraction resulting from sudden temperature changes.
14. Perform periodic cycling (opening and closing) for maintenance to prevent the medium from crystallizing and adhering to the ball.
15. For negative pressure applications, F46 or PFA linings are preferred; the use of standard PTFE is prohibited under high negative pressure conditions.
